This page is here to provide links to other groups, projects, and businesses in the Greater Olympia area that use or advocate the use of Free and Open Source Software(FOSS). We feel that the decision to use Free and Open Source Software is a tremendously civic-minded thing to do, regardless of the reasons behind it. The more people and businesses that use Free and Open Source Software, such as GNU/Linux, Open Office, and others, the better off our community will be.
In the past I have added links to help promote awareness of organizations as soon as I became aware of them. I cannot understand why myself, but this has caused unnessessary confusion such as:

- What is meant by the word partner
- Suggestions as to using words such as associations
Olympia Linux User's Group is a long running forum site owned and operated by Chuck Woods. Olympic Softworks pays close attention to the forums on this site and tries to help users with questions as quickly and completely as possible.
